Five years ago today, I was at work, having a regular day. I see an officer come through and he comes up to me and ask am I Alicia Moore? I thought to myself “Oh crap what did I do? I did nothing wrong?” Then he told me my husband had been in an accident and I needed to come with him. All these thoughts ran through my head as I grabbed my purse and proceeded to tell my boss that I need to leave. Everything happened so fast and I remember my coworkers staring at me as I gathered my things. I will never forget this day and the events that followed. I dread this month every year. Pray for me this month y’all. Pray for his family and coworkers too.
My Stay At Disney Paradise Pier Hotel
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel from March 24- March 29th. I went with my three kids and my mother. I booked through a travel agent with Disney. We arrived at LAX and rode the Disneyland express which seemed like it took forever to come pick us up.
Once we got to the hotel there wasn’t a line to check in in fact we went right up to the desk. It was almost like no one was there but only because everyone was at the parks. Check in was very smooth and quick. They gave each of my kids a balloon which they loved! I thought that was really nice.
I got a one bedroom suite on the 12th floor room 1222. I really liked the suite it was perfect for us. The room had a half bath off from the living room and a bathroom next to the bedroom. It also had a dining table, microwave and refrigerator. We had a awesome view of The Disney California Adventure Park. We were able to see The World of Color at night and the fireworks. The bathrooms had rotating shower heads. The room was very comfy. The only issue I had with the room was that while I was taking a shower in the bedrooms bathroom the water got so cold that I had to get out (still covered in soap) and go to the half bathroom to finish my shower. The bedroom had the queen sized beds. The living room had a couch with a pull out bed! This was very convenient for us. Lots a sleep room!
The meals at the hotel to me were waaaay overpriced. The character breakfast for my mom, three kids and I totaled up to $130! The kids loved the breakfast with the characters. The characters included Stitch, Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy. They each go around to the tables and play with the kids and give an autograph if you like. All except Mickey. He stands at the front and takes pictures with the families which can be purchased.
The hotel also had a pool area the has a slide!!
The kids absolutely loved it! The walks to the parks weren’t long at all. I was actually surprised at how close the parks were to our hotel. The walk from the hotel to Disney California Adventure park was about five minutes and to Disneyland park 10 minutes. I must admit this was not the hotel I wanted to stay at at first. I wanted to stay at Grand Californian. Staying here I saved a lot more money and I wasn’t at all disappointed! I will definately stay here again. Was very pleased and impressed.
Support System
As you all know I had recently posted a video of my experience with domestic violence. I was really afraid to post this video because of what others might think, but posted it anyway because I was determined to help someone. I also realized that it wasn’t about what others thought it was about getting my story out. So glad I posted it because I had people commending me on telling my story. I also had people thanking me because they had also been through the same situations. This let me know that I was not alone. When you are in situations like that you often feel very alone.
Here I was afraid to post this and had no reason to. Me posting that video inspired some and also encouraged a young lady who is currently going through the same thing as I did. I told her that it would be okay and she would eventually find her way.
I am just so thankful. I had a support system and didn’t even know it. Don’t always be afraid to tell someone. Not everyone is judgmental and they just might be going through or went through the same thing as you.

Relationship Abuse| My Story
My most recent video I discuss some of the things I went through in my last relationship.
I was dating this guy who really used and abused me. He took advantage of me in any way he could.
He disrespected me by bringing girls over to my house while I was away or at school. He cheated and cursed me out in front of my kids. He abused me mentally, verbally, and physically. He really had me fooled because I had knew him for years. He sought out my situation and went in for the kill. I was at my lowest point in this relationship because I was loosing my hair, I always felt sick and always had a headache. I never felt good. I was severely depressed and felt like I had no way out. I felt like no one else would want me.
This however was not the case. There were lots of people who wanted to get to know me, who wanted me. I just kept telling myself that they wouldn’t. It was up to ME to decide whether or not I wanted to continue with this horrible relationship. I finally got out of that horrible relationship. I got a restraining order on the guy and I haven’t looked back since. I thank God for my friends and family who stuck by me through that horrible time. I also thank God for helping me to get out of that situation okay because it could have went very different.
I have heard so many stories of people who weren’t so lucky. If you are in a relationship where you are abused tell someone. Leave. Don’t get hurt and be unhappy because life is way too short.
Americans Shoppers Network (Scam)!!
Today I received a call from the “American Shoppers Network” saying that I won $580,000.
Now I started to believe this was true. The guy told me his name and gave me a claim number and a number to call. So I’m thinking okay this might be real, until he said that I need to either go to 7 eleven or dollar general to purchase a green dot money card and put $200 on it to cover fees for send them to be able to send the $580,000 amount.
Pure bull! The number I got a call from has a Jamaica area code It is 876-430-3715. I did research on the it as well and could not find any info on them, I did however find out that it was a scam. There were people actually sending them money. So BEWARE IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THE “AMERICAN SHOPPERS NETWORK”!! They will tell you that they are affiliated with Global International. If they contact you please do not send them any money!
